Meet Our Founder

Janis Boudreau
Janis is the founder of both the Advanced Foot Care Nurse and Wellness Centre and the AFCN Learning Institute. With 26 years in foot and lower limb care, she owns multiple clinics employing a team of 17 nurses, servicing over 3,000 clients monthly across clinic, facility, and mobile home settings.
She has spoken at colleges and conferences across Canada on infection control, documentation, and business entrepreneurship — and built this clinical partner network from the ground up to ensure every student gets hands-on training with a practising nurse in their region.
Our Clinical Partners & Educators
Every clinical partner is a practising foot care nurse and business owner who teaches from real-world experience.
RPN and Advanced Foot Care Nurse with over 18 years of experience. Heidi graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College and went on to specialize in podiatric foot and lower limb care. Her background includes diabetic health education, health program development, and training nurses in both classroom and clinic settings. She and her nursing team provide foot care at long-term care facilities and her Burlington clinic.
RPN since 2011 with 13+ years of nursing experience, including seven years in long-term care specializing in Alzheimer's patients. Natalie transitioned to foot care in 2017 and has since built a full-time practice using advanced technology. Known for her patient-centred philosophy and perfectionist attention to detail — she believes no visit should ever feel rushed.
RPN who graduated from Loyalist College (Dean's List, 2014), Kim spent five years in long-term care before opening her own foot care practice in 2019. In 2022, she partnered with a chiropractor to launch FIT Healthcare — a collaborative clinic offering foot care, chiropractic, physiotherapy, and registered massage under one roof. She holds certifications in Onyfix, Swift Microwave Therapy, LCN Nail Reconstruction, and more.
RPN and Advanced Foot Care Nurse dedicated to improving foot health and comfort. Eileen provides professional nail and skin care, diabetic foot care, and treatments for corns, calluses, and ingrown toenails. She also offers safe removal of skin tags and age spots using advanced techniques — all from her own clinic.
Nurse Practitioner with a BScN from York University and a Master of Nursing from Athabasca University. Pinkal started her foot care business in 2011 and has since expanded into medical aesthetics. Her diverse background spans community healthcare and cardiology nursing. She brings a patient-centric, transparent approach to both her clinic and her teaching.
RPN licensed since 2014 through the College of Nurses of Ontario, with broad nursing experience before specializing in advanced foot and lower limb care. Vicki uses only surgical-grade tools, follows Public Health Ontario sterilization standards, and aligns her practice with CAFCN national competencies. Her focus is promoting mobility, comfort, and independence for every client.
RPN since 2012 and Clinical Manager at Advanced Foot Care Nurse and Wellness Centre. Michelle spent nine years in long-term care before becoming a foot care nurse in 2021, quickly advancing to a management role. She oversees nurse skills, handles all new staff orientation and training, and provides care across clinic and LTC facility settings throughout Windsor-Essex County. Her specialties include ToeFX, Onyfix, and advanced wart treatment.
LPN licensed since 2010, with experience in mental health, addictions, and podiatry clinic nursing alongside four podiatrists. Ivy operates a mobile foot care practice covering approximately 180 km in rural Newfoundland and is a vendor for Eastern Health, providing care in personal care homes and nursing homes. She's an active member of the NL Foot Care Interest Group and brings deep expertise in scalpel techniques, orthotic fitting, and gait analysis.
LPN with advanced foot care certification and experience across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia as a travel nurse. Carmela saw the growing demand for professional foot care — particularly among seniors and people with mobility issues — and built YQR Foot Care to meet that need. She serves as the clinic's Clinical Director and is passionate about preventative foot health.

She's passionate about preventative education and values the work-life balance that independent foot care practice provides.
RPN, Foot Care Nurse, and CEO of Happy Feet Medical Foot Care. With over a decade of experience, Josée has developed her own assessment models and care plans used in clinics across Canada. Her teaching style is hands-on and grounded in real-world application — she focuses on bridging the gap between theory and what actually works in practice.
RPN with seven years of nursing experience across long-term care and a hospital medical/surgical unit. Kim transitioned to foot care because she values the one-on-one time with clients and the ability to build real relationships. As a clinical educator, she creates a supportive learning environment and encourages students to think critically about treatment options and patient needs.
