She earned her BN from UNB in 2004 and built her career at Horizon Health Network as a Perioperative Nurse, OR Resource Nurse, and Nurse Manager for Pre-op, Day Surgery, and PACU. In 2023, she co-founded Precision Foot Care Inc. with Vanessa Cronkhite. Katja served as past New Brunswick Chair for the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (2024–2026) and is deeply committed to advancing the profession through education, mentorship, and evidence-based practice.
