Course Requirements and policies

  • Ability to attend agreed upon clinical dates and location (see refund policy)

  • Active nursing license and in Good Standing with your College

  • To receive a certificate of completion, both theory and clinical must be completed within 1 year

  • Refunds: Due to the content delivery, no refunds are provided once a person has logged into a course.

  • Online Theory Course is self-guided and self-taught at your own pace. Clinical component is where hands-on experience and questions about skills and care are communicated to teacher and answered.

FAQ

  • When do the courses and webinars start or beginning dates?

    Course Start Dates: are ongoing and can be started at anytime. If there is a clinical component, it is then booked with the clinical teacher to meet your scheduling availability and needs. Webinars: Are at set time and dates and are on Zoom. A link is provided at sign up and sent day before the scheduled class.

  • Is there an actual "certification" for Foot Nurse courses and education in Canada?

    National certification for Foot Care Nurses in Canada is not yet available. The Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN) is developing this process in collaboration with the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and anticipates launching the CNA portfolio certification in 2026. What you will receive from taking a foot care course would have been a Certificate of Completion More information can be found at : https://cafcn.ca/education/certification/

  • How and when do I book my Clinical Module?

    When you register your contact information is sent to the clinical partner you have chosen in your area. The Clinical partner will contact you to schedule your clinical days. We pride ourselves on being flexible. We acknowledge that not all students can complete those days at once or on a set weekend day or time. The clinical teacher will come up with a plan with your collaboration. We hold clinicals all year on days that work for you!

  • Are their any reimbursements available through my nursing association?

    To apply for reimbursement of your course fees and receive funding for continuing education as a nurse, please complete the application via these links: https://www.werpn.com/education/grants-and-scholarships/nursing-education-initiative/ https://rnao.ca/education-funding-nei Remember to include a copy of our course certificate of completion and AFCN receipt for payment. Eligible nurses can receive up to $1,500.00 in funding per year.

  • Do I have to be a registered NP/RN/RPN/LPN to take the program?

    Nurses must hold current registration with the appropriate nursing regulatory body in their province/territory and provide client-focused services within their respective nursing scopes of practice. Also nursing students who are in their program and can show proof of enrollment. All others have the option of taking our PSW, Support Workers, Caregivers & Patients Basic Foot Care Course.

  • Hands-On Practice: How many hours of theory and clinical or hands-on practice are included?

    Theory- Is self-paced online module learning. Clinical- 3 Days of hands-on clinical are provided in clinic, home and/or facility settings with a foot nurse educator. Approx 21 hours of training.

  • If I feel that I need more practice, is it possible to arrange additional hands-on sessions for extra support? There’s additional fees for this?

    We offer an additional add-on hands-on clinical 3 day training at a cost of $1400.00 or 1 day training at $475.00.

  • Post-Program Support: Do graduates receive ongoing support, mentorship, or resources after completing the program?

    Yes! We offer a whole catalogue of addition courses, webinars, a business entrepreneurship series, and our FREE (for students and educators) VIP Foot Masters Facebook Support and Networking Group. Where lots of sharing of resources and assistance is available. We also assist with possible employment opportunities, if they are available. Many clinical educators hire great students.

  • Are their any refunds?

    There are NO refunds for any of the online theory courses and/or clinical or forms or products once payment has been made. This was agreed when you created your account, under terms of use.
