Jessie is an LPN with 15+ years in healthcare, including eight years in long-term care, six years on surgical and medical units, and a year in provincial rehabilitation. She completed her foot care training in 2015 and launched Zenflex in 2022 — a practice focused on professional, gentle foot care in a relaxed environment. Her diverse clinical background gives her students a well-rounded understanding of the physical, psychosocial, and safety considerations that come with foot care across every setting.
Prince Edward Island has real demand — and very few qualified foot care educators.
The opportunity across PEI
Prince Edward Island's population is aging faster than the Canadian average, with limited access to specialised foot care outside of a handful of practices. Long-term care facilities, retirement residences, and rural communities from Charlottetown to Summerside to Souris consistently report unmet demand for skilled Advanced Foot Care Nurses — particularly those willing to travel or offer in-home visits.
For nurses building a foot care practice anywhere on the Island, the opportunity is real and immediate. PEI is small enough that one dedicated practice can genuinely serve an entire region, and Islanders value trusted, consistent providers who show up. Training with Jessie means learning in the exact clinical and community context you'll practise in.
