Janis Boudreau is a Registered Practical Nurse, foot care nurse educator, and founder of both AFCN Learning Institute and Advanced Foot Care Nurse and Wellness Centre. Her teaching draws on 30 years of experience in nursing, foot and lower-limb care, alongside the practical experience of building and operating a multi-location nursing foot care business.

Through her clinic business, Janis has built a team of nurses providing care in clinic, facility, and mobile settings. That experience gives her a practical perspective on the responsibilities of running a foot care practice—from patient care and documentation to staffing, leadership, and day-to-day business operations.

Janis brings that clinical and entrepreneurial background to AFCN Learning Institute, where she supports nurses developing their foot care skills and preparing for independent practice. She has also built a clinical educator partner network connecting students with practising foot care nurses for supervised, hands-on learning. The institute and clinic company are separate businesses, connected by her experience as their founder.

Her educational work includes online courses, clinical training, webinars, professional resources, and business coaching. She has spoken at colleges and conferences across Canada on infection control, documentation, and nursing entrepreneurship.

Janis is the author of The Foot Care Business Blueprint, which brings together her experience in building a nursing foot care business with guidance on business systems, ethical practice, leadership, and sustainable growth. She also hosts the EmpowerHer Entrepreneur Podcast, extending her work in entrepreneurship and business education beyond the classroom.
