Is this course recognized in my country? +
Foundations in Foot Care & Lower Limb Health is an educational theory course that builds your clinical knowledge. Recognition of continuing education credits varies by country, profession, and regulatory body. Upon completion, you receive a certificate from AFCN Learning Institute that you can submit to your licensing body or employer for review. We recommend confirming CE credit eligibility with your own regulator before enrolling.
Does this course include hands-on clinical training? +
This is a theory-only course. It is designed to build your foundational knowledge of foot and lower limb health, pathology, assessment, documentation, and infection control. Hands-on clinical training is offered through our Canadian Advanced Foot Care Nurse Course with clinical partners across Canada. For international students, we recommend pairing this theory foundation with supervised clinical practice in your region.
I'm not a nurse. Can I still take this course? +
Yes. This course is open to healthcare professionals from any background — including physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chiropodists, podiatrists, pedorthists, medical estheticians, personal support workers, and clinical educators. Anyone who encounters feet in their practice and wants to provide safer, more informed care will benefit.
How long do I have to complete the course? +
You have one year from the date of enrollment to complete the theory and receive your certificate of completion. The course is self-paced, so you can move through it as quickly or slowly as your schedule allows.
What is the refund policy? +
Due to the nature of digital course delivery, no refunds are provided once a student has logged into the course. Please review the curriculum, course description, and requirements carefully before enrolling. If you have questions before purchasing, we're happy to help — contact us through the Contact & FAQ page.
Will I get access to the private community? +
Yes. Every student receives an invitation to the AFCN Foot Care Masters Network — a private Facebook community where students, graduates, and educators share cases, ask questions, and support one another's growth.
